If your house looks very much like a candidate for ‘How Clean is your house’, you are bound to get depressed.  It will all be too much.  But it is not the end of the world. Start small; clean the bathroom mirror or the breadbin. Get the dishwasher fixed.  Battle the rubbish and win.  You’ll feel better for having fought and won, better for having a nice house to live in, and better for all that exercise.  And you can reward yourself, e.g. by eating chocolate in a bath full of girly smellies, and soft music.

(my house is dirty, but not quite that dirty)
