At this point in the book, the recipe is for vegetable mash, but has a list of different toppings, flavourings or garnishes. The first was pretty much any kind of nut or seed, so I picked carrots and sesame seeds. Carrot mash is a bit strong on its own, and it needed something else, but I couldn’t decide what. John put chilli sauce in, and said that was better. The children opted for baked beans instead.
