I’ve being helping out at church by joining the music group at funerals (playing my violin). Today a lady at school (I’m not good at faces) came up specially to thank me, which was nice. She thanked the other musicians, too, of course.
In other news, my violin teacher, Ann Heeks, reported that she had been persuaded to stand for councillor in her ward, because the other candidate had dropped out. She didn’t want to win, and didn’t do any campaigning, but was told people were voting for her, because she taught their children. She had 568 votes, and although she hadn’t wanted to win, said it felt good seeing the votes land on her pile.
