So-called, becuase the Jews have a feast 50 days after Passover; why it’s called a Greek name I don’t know. Globalisation? Then the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles on the day, so now that’s what we think of when we say Pentecost (except for Jews, I suppose). The apostles suddenly became brave and courages, and able to speak so that foreigners could understand them. Speaking in tongues, to me, means speaking foreign languages that people around you can understand.
Hooray for: courage, outspokenness, globalization
Decorations: candles, open fire
Food: barbecue? ‘fusion’ cooking
