Made with home-made chicken stock, with orange zest added at the onion stage and orange juice (freshly squeezed) added at the liquidizer stage.   Plenty of pepper and a tiny bit of salt (because there was no salt in the stock or the butter, and it needed a lift).

I thought it would taste of virtue, or faddishness, but it is actually extremely delicious.  Sam and John liked it tool
