Today’s mission for Lent was to be cheerful, but without chocolate. Is that possible? I had a similar mission some years back:

so, clearly yes. Today I was cheerful when:

I went into school to help Hannah’s year-group make bread.
I ate ice cream with Hannah after school
Hannah didn’t make a fuss over her cornet practice.
Sam helped make fishcakes for dinner.
I had dinner with my family, all round the table together.
We went to Mass, and I got to play my fiddle.
We shared some bread and jam after Mass, and some people said they liked my singing.
