Who is the patron saint of music: listened to the Classic FM concert last night, full of suitable music: there is a lot of classical music specially for St Cecilia’s day.

Went shopping today: did what I tend to think of as a man-shop: hardly any trying on: more I like that, and that, and that’s probably my size, and all very quick. Unfortunately, this means the pink hoody I got has a broken zip pull. Ho hum. Perhaps I should customise it with a different zip pull tag thing. Also, bought some new shoes, but failed to buy welly boots. There are lots of funky ladies’ welly boots, but not for short women with well-developed calf muscles. Why is that?

(shamelessly nicked from Wikipedia).
Actually, we’ve been watching fireworks out of Sam’s window since Friday, and yesterday some people lit a bonfire on the waste ground behind our house. I haven’t bought any fireworks, but maybe next year we’ll arrange something.
Also, very interesting programme on ITV4, where they performed a very impressive reconstruction. Had Guy Fawkes succeeded, it would have been quite some blast.

And a trip to the cemetery, which in our village is a nice quiet place full of trees and views of the hills. Read some of the tombstones out to Sam. Also, went to a quiet evening Mass with no children, which is quite a luxury at the moment.
