Bramleys, stuffed with dried apricots, dates and candied citrus peel, all soaked in orange juice and sugar. There were supposed to be raisins, but I hadn’t realised Sam had eaten them, so put the citrus in instead. There was also supposed to be pear, but John doesn’t like pear, so I left it out.
The cooking times were off, but when the apples were finally done, they were nice enough, at least, if you put squirty cream on. Sam thought they needed more sugar. Hannah wouldn’t look at them. It’s not my favourite pudding, but it’s easy and makes a change.
